Hartog Digest is a high-quality roughage mix specially formulated to support the digestive system. De Hartog Digest is a roughage mix with a chunk full of healthy additives, such as postbiotics and magnesium. Postbiotics provides the right combination of metabolites to nourish the microbiota. This is to maintain balance and support gut health. Hartog Digest is ideal for horses with sensitive intestines or digestive problems and can contribute to healthy and balanced digestion. Feeding Hartog Digest stimulates the number of chewing movements. Increased chewing movements stimulate saliva production. The increased amount of saliva, the added magnesium and the naturally high calcium content of alfalfa help neutralise stomach acid. This can support stomach health. Hartog Digest is low in sugar and starch and free of both grains and molasses. With the added pieces of apple, carrot, beetroot and linseed oil, Hartog Digest is still very tasty and suitable for difficult eaters.
We recommend 200 to 250 grams per 100kg body weight per day.
